    Complete junk! The screen display is so dim and grainy, despite numerous attempts to adjust these settings. The display looks old school, like the first laptop ever released. I own 2 HP desktops and am obsessed with them. So reliable, vibrant and fast. This thing is a complete fail. My box was taped shut on the top, so assuming this was probably a return and I certainly understand why. I needed this for a business trip and will now be without. Do yourself a favor and purchase direct from a reputable store with a good return policy (not Amazon). Amazon’s new policy is that they will issue my refund or credit in 30 days. That doesn’t work for me because I am still without a laptop and need to purchase another asap, but you are holding my money ransom.

    The Computer is great and it works well if you’re being a little hesitant to buy it , the only thing i didn’t like was how it moves kinda slow , it works like a computer you probably got from a school but other than that its really nice ,It has all the features i need for college, so if you’re a college student this is the computer you should get and like i said it moves slow but im not talking about the internet im talking about how long it takes to respond to what you want it to do such as typing , at first there was a short delay when i would type but after a while it started to go faster, you have to give it a few minutes to warm up

    It came with windows 11!!! It is advertised as 10!!! I need 10 for school so I had to figure out how to downgrade which idk if that means I lose the free one year of cloud storage literally in the middle of doing this right now. So idk it seems okay for the price besides the fact it wasn’t as advertised. Will update review if everything works out. If not I will return it and remove a star. If it works and is great I’ll add a few.Update: so overall it’s a decent machine now that I have the os that is supposed to be on it. I only added one more star because it lacks a back lit keyboard, one drive app doesn’t work keeps having an error but it works via edge, and very little storage so I ordered an sd card. It will do what I need it to and it has USB ports overall it’s a good machine for the price if it worked out of the box like I intended when I ordered it I would give it 3.5-4 stars but the lack of storage and features is I guess a get what you pay for situation.

    If I could go back and talk to my 18 year old self, I would just go to Best Buy and buy the $300 hp laptop for college. This computer is extremely annoyingly slow at the worst times. I only used this computer for basic school stuff like canvas,word,google doc etc. and it would lag not load completely or just freeze. The rare time I would try to use Hulu or Netflix it would be extremely laggy or slow to get to the page. I have had this laptop since August 2021 and debating on getting a new one. The times that show how bad the processor is, is when trying to write a research paper or looking for general information in multiple tabs. And do not bother to online shop it will be extremely laggy and slow and would be way faster to use a phone. This was the first laptop I ever purchased for personal use solely for nursing school. I only use the laptop during the semester so it was worth the $200 I had at the time since I’m not a computer dominated person and had a tight budget but would NOT recommend for an incoming college student. I would say look out for sales at best buy before school begins!The thing is, it’s decent enough that I wouldn’t buy a new laptop or return but I would never recommend it to someone else and would not be sad if it broke!

    Everything about this laptop is slow. Watching videos is super slow and struggles to load, everything is super bad! And the sound! God the awful sound! Its so horrible! It has a loud screech and cuts through your ears, it sounds horrible. Like it’s being played through a tin can that got thrown into a blender! If you even wanted to play a small game on it, good luck! This can’t even handle 2d games like Stardew Valley or the original Binding of Isaac. Something an old phone could handle! But alas, I guess is should have spent an extra $100 on a better laptop. I’m tempted to send this right to the trash and get a new one. Unfortunately i couldn’t afford that, save yourself the trouble, spend more on a better laptop, cause if you buy this crap, you’ll have to buy another one anyways.

    Got the laptop w/the N4020 processor vs the N4000 version. The slight difference in speed is proven . Also get off the s version of Windows 10 and get Windows 10 home. Free upgrade available w/this laptop in Microsoft App Store. Look at youtube video for easy instructions. Buy a cheap external cd/dvd player burner then get/use old version of MS office cd to install software. I Could NOT GET the “free 1 yr version preinstalled to work on this PC 😡 as advertised…only a free month of Office Family 365. Once done this PC is fast, light and 5 stars under $315 ready. Product arrived earlier then promised. ðŸ‘

    Pleased with purchase. This a “no frills” computer. Think of it as the work truck of laptops and not the Ferrari.I use this in a security patrol car to track my other on-duty officers via a fleet tracking app as well as complete shift reports.It is also used to download/store body camera footage that is later transferred to cloud storage. It performs these functions with speed.My initial concern was the bumps this unit would take while in the patrol car due to the terrain I patrol on. My concern was unfounded as this unit is very durable considering its slim design.

    I thought for $300 I would get a laptop that was decent. Specifically coming from HP. Well it didn’t last. It died on me today. Terminal failure. I can’t find serial number on the HP website. Absolute garbage. I will not buy another HP anytime soon. It never left my desk at work. There was nothing abnormal about the way I was using it. Ridiculous.

    Love hp, but would not recommend windows s. Even when you disable it, you don’t completely disable it. 4 gigs of ram isn’t enough to do much more than check email and run basic apps, especially if you have it connected to a docking station with 2 monitors. Keyboard and mouse. Apparently you can’t upgrade ram on this laptop.

    “I purchased the HP Stream 14-inch Laptop for basic everyday use, but I was extremely disappointed with its performance. The Intel Celeron N4000 processor is simply not powerful enough to handle multiple tasks or even basic applications like Microsoft Office. I experienced frequent crashes, lagging, and freezing. Additionally, the 4 GB RAM and 64 GB eMMC storage are inadequate, leaving me constantly running out of storage space and unable to open multiple applications at the same time. The battery life is also very short, lasting only about 3-4 hours on a full charge. While the design is sleek and lightweight, the performance issues make this laptop nearly unusable for anything beyond basic internet browsing. I would not recommend the HP Stream 14-inch Laptop to anyone in need of a reliable and powerful computer..

    I am a MacBook user who recently has had to convert to a Windows Laptop for business reasons. I cannot believe the difficult ordeal in trying to get this thing to cooperate. I am not a stupid person. I have ran computers Macs for 20 years, and also I LOVE my ANDROID phone. This computer is not touch sensitive, it has a million different confusing elements to it and I am just basically thanking god that my employer is going install company software on it, which I will run through them. I never ever thought there would be that much difference in an OS or MacBook system compared with this. Oh well. Maybe it’s just me.

    I need this laptop for school. I purchased it because it advertised Microsoft 365 for free for a year. I received the laptop and there was nothing included explaining how to access that so I had to reach out, spend my time dealing with customer service and waiting for messages back. I was eventually provided with a product key and it did not give me access. I responded stating this and was given another one which gave me generic access — I can view documents but I cannot create any.

    I bought this laptop for I thought would be great for the price, but it has been a nightmare!Since having this “thing,†there have numerous video issues from the start. The screen would get fuzzy. Getting multiple monitors connected to it is a constant battle (no matter how many help articles you read). And today, the screen turned white!I regret getting this contraption for the price. I’ve had issues with other laptops, but this one takes the cake for the time and usage I’ve had on it.The brand is good, but I wouldn’t buy this particular laptop again.

    It works fairly for the price, however saying that this comes with 64gb of storage space isn’t entirely accurate. The required system and reserve storage takes up a third of that space, and even then adding the apps and temp storage leaves me with at least 20gb of disk space being used by something unknown. I have nothing but a couple games considering I only recently bought the laptop, so seeing 58gb of storage being taken up already when I’ve barely used it is disappointing.
