This makes vacuuming so much easier!!! It’s light to move around the house and attachments are great. Being cordless is amazing, no need to constantly plug and plug to move around the house. I was concerned about having to hold the button while vacuuming but not an issue, in fact it’s easier when stopping and starting while moving things out the way etc. Great vacuum cleaner, love the oversized head and it gets the job done easily!

Love this vacuum. I have tile throughout a 2,100 sq ft home and two dogs…one being a German shedder. This vacuum really does the job, holds a lot, empties efficiently and after vacuum all the floor space, and still have battery left for hand-held tasks. However, the handle is at the top and a hand tool inserts at the tip of the long barrel/canister, making it sometimes awkward and weighty.

This is my first Dyson. I had previously purchased other cordless vacuum cleaners, but none had the suction power of this Dyson. So far, it works wonderfully. We had family visit over Thanksgiving, including 7 dogs! Cleaning up the floors after everyone left was a breeze. I give this Dyson all the credit. I love that the battery lasts a long time and that the canister is oversized. Would definitely recommend, especially when on sale.

The oversize weighs a bit more, but it is meant for larger homes where you can vacuum without emptying your canister as often and it has a longer power time to run. I had vacuumed all my rugs (6 large rugs) before this arrived. I put it together (super easy) and vacuumed one of the rugs. I was shocked to see how much more Dyson picked up. I’m 110% happy with this product.

This machine is probably a good cleaner but it is so heavy. I read that it is only around 7 pounds but my shoulder hurt after a few minutes of using it. Because the motor and the battery are both at the top of the stick, you end up holding up the stick while you vacuum. I’m fairly fit and this still gave me a work out.

The suction on this thing is incredible – it’s super easy to use and it’s so huge it doesnt take too long for us to vacuum our house. The media could not be loaded. I have owned just about every single vacuum brand you can think of (Kirby, Shark, Bissel, Eureka, Dirt Devil, etc). I bought this to replace both my Kirby and my Shark cordless vacuum. It picked up more than both the shark and Kirby combined. I am very impressed. The battery also lasted for my entire house which for me has never happened with a cordless vacuum. I have about 1300 sq ft and it cleaned top to bottom and I still had about 20 mins of run time left! I definitely recommend!!

This is my second Dyson. I have the V11 Torque Drive, and purchased the Dyson Oversize on sale. The Oversize has more suction power than the Torque Drive, and a very large dust bin. I absolutely love both. They are lightweight, efficient, with a run time of 1 hour. The suction equals that of a corded vacuum but the ease of use is much better, especially for stairs, the car, and furniture.I have a large home. I keep the Torque Drive downstairs and my Oversize on the main floor. Both vacuumes make quick work of dirt and dust.I absolutely love my Dyson Oversize and would highly recommend both of my Dyson cordless vacuums.

This vacuum is amazing and well worth the price! For the past several years I found myself buying off brand cordless vacuums and needing a new one almost annually because of the poor quality. With 4 pets and a toddler we needed to finally buy a good quality vacuum and we settled on this after reading a number of reviews and comparing others. Did not disappoint! This vacuum is so powerful, huge container, and so easy to use and navigate. Picks up SO much more dirt and pet hair than previous products we’ve used.

First I LOVE this vacuum. Easy clean up. Battery is sufficient. Does the job beyond expectationsMy only issue is that the main power source, motor is at the top of the handle. It gets heavy. And you have to hold the power button the whole time. You can’t just turn it on and off After about 10-15 minutes it actually is uncomfortable Almost painful. Lucky my condo is not so big but anyone with a lot of space this might not be the model for you It would be so much better if you could just hit an on button. Not continuously holding it down

It took me 15 mins to vacuum my 2000 sq ft home. I love this thing! Out of the box, the product was dusty, everything from the motor to the motor head was covered in dust. Dyson says it should take about 2 hours to charge once you get it, for me it was about 4 hours to fully charge the battery.The motor-head does get hair wrapped around it, I have hair down to my chest and had to cut the hairs off the motor bar but I did expect that and it didn’t impair vacuuming itself.This vacuum is also on the heavier side of the Dyson cordless in general so if you do not workout your arms or have a disability associated with carrying things and hands, you will probably feel it. I workout regularly so it’s fine for me but I know someone with less energy would struggle.The attachments are good, I do wish the detail attachment worked with the “rod” that extends to the floor, I can’t reach my ceilings with the short detail attachment.It’s not loud, which as someone with sensory issues, this is amazing for me. It vacuums well, I have a Kirby so it’s nothing close to that quality but it works for when you don’t want to bring out the hunk of metal. I think it’s a great value for the money so far.

I was very excited for a new Dyson vacuum. I have had one for over 7 years and works great. Unfortunately this one wouldn’t fully charged. I tried everything and after one week trying I finally gave up.

I bought on a whim (and on sale) just because. Our main vacuum is many years old and although it still works pretty well, it’s big, heavy and….you know. A PITAThis thing is amazing! It’s light, powerful and blow me away how long it runs. On hard floors obviously it’ll run a lot longer, and on carpet, has to work harder thus runtime is shorter. A combo as I went through the house the first time, was just over 1 hour runtime, both hard floor and carpet!!That first run was pretty great, but as I watched the canister, I couldn’t believe what all it was collecting and how much, on floors that had been vacuumed recently.The other amazing thing, and likely why it collected a lot more “stuff” is how nimble it is. You can vacuum a floor under a table and not move chairs, just twist and manipulate the head and it slides anywhere and everywhere. Under beds and furniture, same thing. There’s almost nowhere you can’t maneuver the head.So ya, it’s a little more expensive but it replaces 2 other vacuums and does so easily. It does everything they do and a lot more.Like other battery operated “things” I’ve switched to, I expect replacing batteries over time, but treat them right and they’ll last longer!

I needed something with more power to handle my bird’s pellets on the floor. Works OK but very heavy for any kind of extended vacuuming. I’ll always go cordless and the suction is good for hardwood floors and a little difficult for rugs.

I researched for a couple of weeks for a cordless. Reviews are nothing until you see a comparison video and my choice was made. Making that choice on Cyber Monday was even better.I own a corded Shark and vacuumed while this charged up fully (recommended before use). I then used the Dyson and holy crud what was left behind shocked me. I think it grabbed dirt from under the house. My Shark doesn’t even leave vacuum lines anymore, but oh boy the Dyson did. Now I’m wondering if will be better than my moms twice as much Kirby.The big Pro for me is the suction. I’m just stunned what it picked up. It’s also short, so perfect for the 5’2” me. I do have long hair to mid butt and not one hair was around the roller. So tired of sitting on the floor with a box cutter cleaning off the Shark roller and still can’t get it all. *Probably why doesn’t work well anymore. The larger canister, let me tell ya, holds a lot. I love that I can attach the attachments right to the power head which makes doing stairs so much easier. Can’t wait to clean my car without an extension cord. No issues not being able to run a straight line and that surprised me considering the brush head swivels easily. Very easy to control and glides easy across the carpet on all settings. There is brush head height adjustment if you have longer carpet threads. Transitioning to tile floor was a breeze. Cleaning area rugs on medium worked great, never ate them once.The Cons: The power head is heavier than it looks and will take some time to get use to. That with holding the power button at all times to run makes it seem heavier. I found myself switching hands to relieve the weight and trigger finger. Dyson really should add a lock feature. If you have weak hands or carpal tunnel, this may be an issue. Make sure you screw the charging dock to a stud as the weight of the vacuum makes it pull forward and you don’t want it ripping out of the wall.Would I recommend? Most definitely. Why the 4 stars, the weight and no power lock is a downfall for me. Not a deal breaker, but may not be for everyone.Happy vacuuming all 🙂

This Dyson Outsize is a great vacuum for hard floors, but it’s not that great on carpets. Here is what I love: It has a big tank to hold debris; it’s easy to empty; It’s powerful: It’s quiet! Plus I love the Outsize vacuum head. That is a truly great feature – in fact, that is why I bought this particular model.The quietness of the vacuum during operation surprised me – I expected it to be louder. Protecting my hearing is important to me, so I always wear noise canceling headphones when I vacuum. But this Dyson is so quiet I had to check if it was running! That was a nice surprise. Here is what I don’t love: It doesn’t really transition well from hard floors to traditional carpeted floors (like our bedroom). On carpets, it is really hard to use – you can tell it is struggling. The battery time is cut by more than by half when you vacuum carpets. It does ok on rugs, but again, switching from hard floors to rugs isn’t as easy as Dyson wants you to believe. So just be aware. If you have a lot of rugs and carpets, this probably isn’t the vacuum for you. If you have all, or mostly all hard floors, then you will really love this Dyson.

First impressions of use on wooden floors, tile floors, carpet, and my car. This vacuum works well on all surfaces. The suction power on the regular mode is sufficient enough to tackle all kinds of floors. With this vacuum, you don’t have to go back-and-forth, one movement and it sucks everything up. It is quite shocking to see all the dust and dirt my Roomba and my cheaper stick vacuum don’t pick up. The only negative so far is the fact that you have to hold down the button while you’re operating the vacuum.

This thing is junk. Worked for 1 charge and now it’s useless. I took it out of the country and now can’t return it. Customer service also won’t extend the 1 month return date.Useless Junk

All the things are great about it, expect its not as lightweight when you start to use it AND having to hold the trigger with you finger the entire time. Can you imagine having to vacuum for 40 mins holding this button!!Ill be returning this $400 stone age vacuum! TERRIBLE!

I charged it until the battery was full to use it for the first time and it stays on for 30 seconds then shuts off. After it shuts off I can turn it on again but it only stays on for 30 minutes. I’ve tried holding down the button when I vacuum and it still does the same thing. Super disappointed

I’ve owned 3 Dyson vacuums in my life over the last 10 years. The quality is excellent on this Outsize vacuum as expected from previous experience. It was well packed and easy to assemble. I was amazed at how large the collection canister is, you could vacuum the whole house at least 5 times before having to empty it. My previous vacuum is the Dyson V11 Animal, and I shared a photo to compare the size of the canisters. The Outsize is at least twice the size!I really like this vacuum a lot – the head is very wide so you can cover a lot more area than a traditional vacuum with this in one swipe. The only time that is a negative is when you have a smaller space to vacuum, such as between the toilet and cabinet, but the head has a ball so that it turns to the side very easily as you vacuum. Another great feature is the anti-hair roller in the head. I shed a lot of hair and on previous vacuums I always have to empty the hair from the roller because it gets tangled up. I haven’t had to do that at all in the 3 months I’ve been using this vacuum. I vacuum almost daily because I’m an avid cleaner.I also really like the digital readout that tells you how many minutes you have left of battery life. This is helpful to know when to charge it. The silver button allows you to choose “eco” – less suction, longer battery life; medium/auto – the vacuum does a deep suction, less battery life and can switch automatically between carpet and floors; and boost – deepest suction, way less battery life. This is my only issue with this vacuum – the battery life drains pretty fast if you leave it on auto. On auto, on a full charge, you get about 45 minutes total, enough for me to vacuum my whole house about 2 times. So about every two days I have to recharge it. On eco, you get about 70 minutes on a full charge. All Dysons have this battery life issue, so I wish they’d use new technology to lengthen it. It will start to rev when the battery is low and give you an indicator.It comes with several tools (crevice, short head, and fuzzy brush). All the tools work well, but I don’t like the fuzzy brush – the bristles are weak and bend too easily when you’re vacuuming vents. Overall, I really like the vacuum and in 3 months, I have been very pleased with it, it picks up crumbs on the first go around. It is very expensive, but you also get high quality and cleaner carpets and floors.

Overall, we freaking LOVE this vacuum and it’s changed out lives. It’s got extremely good suction and transitions and works well on different flooring. It’s got good battery run time. Our Apt is about 1,100sqft and it can do the entire thing with about 12mins left. It has different settings of suction to pick from. We like that it has a digital screen telling you how much time is left of the battery and how the battery time changes depending on the suction type you pick. It is self cleaning as far as women’s hair and pet hair goes which is lovely. I thought it came with a second battery pack, but it doesn’t and I looked on their website and can’t find anywhere to purchase a second battery alone. That would be so helpful so you don’t have to stop a job half way through but can switch it out and keep going if you have a bigger space. It charges quickly. The downsides… It DOES NOT STAND ON IT’S OWN. If you’re not holding it or it’s not leaning in a very secure spot then it’s going to swivel and fall over very easily. There’s no stand for it whatsoever. You also have to hold the trigger button the entire time to keep it running. The second you let go of the trigger it stops. So if you suffer from trigger finger, or carpal tunnel then this could be challenging. It definitely took us about a week to get used to. I’m sure they did that to reserve the battery life so it’s not being used on stall time, but just know it takes some getting used to. It’s also pretty heavy and feels a bit awkward and for some reason wears my shoulder out way faster than any other vacuum we have. No regrets getting this though because of it’s suction and battery life and ease and functionality. Very life changing with toddlers running around.

This is a premium product, and the price tag definitely demands a high barrier of entry. Cost can be an issue. That said, there are a few things to be mindful of here, outside of value.This is *not* a lightweight cordless. It is mobile, yes. I’m perfectly capable of body, and I still find this bulky to use and it does get heavy, especially if you’re going to be doing a lot of carpet cleaning.The battery usage can be extreme, especially if you’re setting it to maximum suction (boost). It’s the difference of 25-40 minutes worth of time and 8-12 minutes. I’ve found that on ‘auto’, it was a great mix of power (suction) and energy conservation. That said, if you use this for your sole vacuum, you may want to consider an extra battery.Those are about the only negatives I can see in the product, during my limited use.The suction is phenomenol. It’s so good that even the accessories, which are normally useless (pet brush, I’m looking at you), work as good as the main large head. Even with some pressure application, the carpet agitator still spun. Very impressed here. This thing picks up a ton of dirt and hair on hardwood and carpet both.The waste bin is sizeable. Large enough to cover several rooms, for sure, unless you’re sucking up baskets worth of debris. Very easy to empty as well. For the most part emptying it doesn’t even see you dirtying your hands, given how the basket ‘slides the debris out’ in normal operation.Switching between attachments is super easy as they all have ‘button release’. Takes seconds to move between different heads or attachments!The auto sensing suction power adjustment works great (and fast). Moving between carpet and hardwoods only takes 1-2 seconds to recognize and for the adjustment from ‘higher power’ to ‘lower power’ to account for less friction on hardwood vs. carpet.The battery power indicator is easy to read and adjusts based on usage. Very convenient.The wall hanging kit is of sufficient quality and design.
