The only problem that I’ve been encountering is just the quality of the controllers that come with this game System I haven’t even Had it for a year and already I’ve had to buy a new controller because the original had that phantom sway to it SMH. Plus, I feel like as much as games cost and these systems cost, they could have better games for the PS system. They just don’t. The games are lackluster at best unless you are into online multiplayer or anime.

I like this console more than I thought I would. I didn’t know it had such an advanced media library! Although I will say, I would suggest you get a pro version if you didn’t get a PS5 yet. I think it would be worth it! But what do I know? I just wouldn’t suggest you repurchase the console unless you’re rich.

Fantastic machine this is my second one never had an issue out of my PS5 console had to sell it due to an emergency and was excited when I finally was able to get another one. This is the slim with this drive and it’s fantastic runs super quiet. If you’re thinking about getting a new NexGen console definitely a top-tier choice

Would agree that it is better than an Xbox so far, my Xbox is the new Xbox series x and I have had the series s too and I know that the PlayStation has better graphics on my Xbox it kicks me off of my games and so far I have had no problem with the PlayStation the only thing is that the updates and downloads take a while but that is what you get with better quality

I got a used “very good” model via Amazon and other than them shipping it a new box, the system itself seemed brand new for the most part other than some fingerprint streaks that could be wiped away. Included all accessories: hdmi, controller, charging cable, power cord, stands. System booted up and registered just fine with no issues. Can’t beat a PS5 for $340 in 2024!

So I usually play on PC. I have a 4070ti, r9 5900x, 32gb ram, 1ms gaming monitor… all the stuff.I got this console to be able to more casually game in my living room with the family. I also, for some reason, tend to like playing MMO games more on a console vs my pc.The ps+ EXTRA is the minimum Id go as far as ps+ goes. You got a huge library of great games for a low yearly/monthly cost. Its crazy how many games I have lined up Im gonna play simply because of how many I can play!The console itself has good graphic quality as well. Its basically running a nvidia 2070 but the optimization in most titles is far better than pc. Of course you sacrifice some bells and whistles in the graphics and fps department but the smoothness of most titles I have played has been much better than my pc.Also, most titles that support 120hz on the ps5 run amazing! I have been playing Resident Evil 3 (free on ps+ extra or above) and it simply looks amazing! Now RE3 has either a 60hz/fps RAY TRACING graphics option whichs looks amazing, but I opt for the “performance” option which enables the 120hz/fps gaming, just without ray tracing. You lose a little bit of the prettieness but you gain that smooth 100+fps on average. It makes gaming on a console/tv so much more enjoyable coming from a pc!For the cost vs what you get, I am very impressed. 10 years ago the gap was much wider from pc to console but now a days its worth another look for more casual gaming vs high fps competative pc gaming. Each has its own lane. But so far Im loving relaxing in my recliner playing casual, amazing games on my ps5!The ONLY issue is the disc drive is a bit loud. It creates a lot of reverberations which get noisy while a disc is spinning up. Usually the disc stops spinning after like 10-20 seconds so not a huge deal. However, its normal. Theyre supposed to sound that way. So its not a defect.Hope this review helps someone!

This optical drive accessory if everything I needed for my PlayStation 5! I’m still a huge advocate for physical media and have quite an extensive collection of PS5 and PS4 games on disc, so this is the perfect way to keep the library accessible. It installs very easily and is ready in a matter of minutes. It’s well made, looks terrific, and is easily replaceable in the unlikely event of failure. All in all, I couldn’t be happier. And with the upcoming PS5 Pro console on the horizon, this drive will see a lot more usefulness! Zero complaints.

The setup process was straightforward, and I was up and running in no time.The performance of the PS5 Slim is nothing short of exceptional. The graphics are stunning, and the load times are almost nonexistent thanks to the custom SSD. I’ve enjoyed playing games like “Spider-Man: Miles Morales” and “Demon’s Souls,” and they look absolutely breathtaking on this console. The DualSense controller has elevated my gaming experience with its haptic feedback and adaptive triggers, making every game feel more immersive.

A longtime PlayStation fan, I had been putting off getting a PS5 until the three following milestones occurred:1) a reduction in size of the console2) a reduction in the price of the console3) a reduction in the price of games for the consoleI thought that the introduction of the PS5 Slim last fall would spur my purchase, but Sony didn’t cut the price, and even older PS5 games were still selling for $70.But finally, during the Days of Play event this spring, Sony knocked $50 off the console’s price — I didn’t want the Spiderman or COD bundles, not my favorite games — and I decided to act. Four years is a LONG time to wait to play a new R&C title, after all!So here are my thoughts on the PS5, now that’s in my house:1) Setup is remarkably easy, including wirelessly transferring game save information from a PS4. It did take me a while to figure out how to turn off the female voice heralding all my actions (under Accessibility options).2) The PS5 runs like a champ. So far, I have not been aware of any fan noises or clouds of warm air exhaust spewing out.3) The DualSense controllers had weaker rumble than I expected. It turns out that the rumble motors default to the “weak” setting if you have the controller’s microphone enabled. I turned off the mike, and the rumble was back at full force, but with more finesse than that experienced with the PS4’s DUALSHOCK controllers. If I’m not mistaken, the precision of the DS controller actually seems to improve my game scores…4) The new user interface is kind of a mess. In particular, leaving the POWER button off the Home page was a boneheaded move. One of my first issues with the new console was — how do I turn this bloody beast OFF??? I wish that the controller battery gauge was on the Home page as well.5) It was a brilliant idea making the disk drive detachable. The one problem I had with my PS4 involved the machine’s failure to read disks after a few years, which I am guessing was an issue of a dirty reading head; I sent the console to Sony to be fixed, and it came back working perfectly in one week. Now I assume I can just repair or replace the removable drive without sending in the entire console for repair…6) Now that the PS5 packs 1 TB of memory, I was wondering how soon I would need to add more memory. Currently, I have plenty of memory to switch back and forth between a number of games, including Ratchet & Clank Rift Apart, plus several from the PS4, including WRC Generations, Far Cry 6, and Resident Evil 4, as well as the Pinball Arcade. One good reason I wanted the disk version of the PS5 was to minimize the size of game downloads to preserve memory.7) The audio/video performance of the PS5 to play back DVD’s and Blu-Rays is outstanding. And I was happy to find that the excellent Bluetooth PDP media controller I got for the PS4 works with the PS5 as well. Yea — that made me feel better about spending $30 for the PS5’s vertical stand instead!8) And some of the PS5 titles are FINALLY coming down in price: Rift Apart and the latest Star Wars game, for example — two AAA titles — are now available for a far more affordable $30.So if you have been putting off upgrading to a PS5, it may be time at last to make the move, provided you can catch a special promotion.And to those who say, “Game consoles’ days are numbered,” I say — as long as many of us prefer to play games sitting on a couch, enveloped in booming 3D sound and watching our dazzling big-screen TV’s — long live PlayStation consoles — especially those that serve as a 2-in-1 machine, with built-in (or detachable) disk drives that also play DVD’s and BR’s!

Due to unfortunate circumstances my sons PS5 was broken and he wanted to replace it with one like the original build however ship time was long. We ordered this and it was delivered following morning at 5am. Works great and looks great so far ajd he is happy. Delivery was nice and easy. Quiet and on time. Tucked on the side of door so it’s not in plain view to the street. Thoughtful!

Came a week ahead of schedule wich was awesome and not a scratch on it nor any issues at all, compared to my first gen ps4 this ps5 slim digital edition is small compact and doesn’t sound like a jet taking off when on or feel like its hotter than hell and it performs way better than i could have imagined, stays cool and quiet and cool i did buy a lil fan for the back and dust cover for extra protection but tbh i dont think it needs the fan better safe than sorry tho my only issue is i feel the controller doesnt last as long as my ps4 one did but not a big deal at it charges fast af 30 min or less and its full charge, not much else to say i couldnt be happier as i play alot of online multiplayer games and constantly struggled due to performance and lag and over heating and shutting of it was time to retire that ps4 and my god the graphics are amazing, i dont really like the controller tho it feels like xbox but not a big deal i just have small hands

I was able to figure out the PS5 + hdmi switch situation, apprently one of my switches doesnt support the high frame rate. If you’re putting one on a splitter, make sure it supports high frame rate / speeds. Thanks for the quick ship and mint item (even though used).

there is no better way to celebrate 30 years of playstation on sony’s part and 24 years of dealing with PlayStation systems on my part than to purchase a ps5, it has all the features any one could want a bit difficult to turn off though and there are more ps4 games than ps5 games cause games are hard to make these days, but i’m fine with that. I bought a digital ps5 cause physical cds etc are basically a thing of the past, videogame stores as we knew it are basically on deaths door cause few exist unlike 20 years ago where there was toysrus circuit cityeb games kb toys sears etc. But all in all lots to love

If you’ve never touched a good PC at all, you will be happy with this. Personally I have a high end PC and bought this to play a couple of chill games on my TV.Obviously I don’t expect PS5 to be as good as my PC, but the amount of 30fps games is disappointing. I’m talking about older games like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro, Bloodborne, Shadow Of The Collosus. All old games that should run at least 60, yet they’re 30 and feel like an actual slideshow on a 120Hz TV. And a lot of 60fps games I’ve played should run at least 120, like 2D platforming games and such that don’t have high demands. So this makes me just not want to play on PS5 and I don’t really see a point of me even having it to be honest.The controllers are awesome but don’t seem to last long. The rubber on one of the sticks flew off and I had to replace the whole stick (annoying process), only after a few months of use.In short, if you have a good PC and want this on the side, I do not recommend, a lot of the games will run at 30FPS and will be unenjoyable. If you don’t have a PC then you maybe not notice how bad 30 and even 60 fps feels so it might be alright.

I really just wanted a new PS4 to play some classic games, but they were selling for not much less than the PS5. I don’t like the white color of the PS5. You can spend another $30 to replace with black panels, but the whole design is still really ugly. I don’t even like the look of the controller. In reality, in my opinion, Xbox Series S is a better deal in many ways, but, unfortunately, certain games are only available on PS. The machine runs fine. Graphics are great. The controller is fun if you are playing games that utilize all of the functions. Still miss my PS4.I had forgotten to mention that it is not recommended that the PS5 be stood up on it’s side, due to the possibility of the liquid metal (inside) heating up and running out into other components, internally. From what I hear, it is a rare occurrence, but not a chance I’m willing to take.

The same thing that happens to my twins PlayStation happens to this one. The mic keeps like silencing me when I get back on after a few hours. It’s so weird. And I don’t even know if there’s a way to fix this but I’m gonna try and see. But besides that works fine I’m happy with the purchase besides that problem.

I only play a handful of games, primarily FFXIV – so for the longest time I held the stance that ‘I don’t need to upgrade when I have a perfectly fine PS4’. Unfortunately, with the latest release of Dawntrail and all of its graphical updates – the PS4 just couldn’t keep up. Slow loading times meant it took far too long to transition between zones and I would often miss out on hunts or certain graphics just wouldn’t load on time. (death by ghosts!)But with the PS5 the speed is incredible. Transitions from one zone to another are quick. It’s so much faster I can even make it on time for S-Rank hunts!

A little unfortunate at the beginning as the package was delivered to the wrong location, a place not even close to me and I sent out several complaints to the seller and Amazon until I entered the tracking number into FedEx tracking bar on their site and was provided with a picture of the package that wasn’t available on Amazon.I then went over to the various neighborhoods close by, surveying porches like a maniac (from a distance, of course) until my eyes landed upon the recognized package from the picture. I respectfully requested an opportunity to acquire my package from the owners of the house and they graciously brought it to me themselves. An aggravating experience but I won’t put that on the seller, the minus one star is for the delivery worker (no hard feelings.)It runs well and operates as expected. I am very pleased with this purchase.

Due to my giant stash of gaming systems getting “lost” during a move….i had to start over with my gaming systems. Started cheap with a switch and finally upgraded to a PS5. The graphics are unreal! I downloaded some games that I had on my switch for this console and was blown away by the amount of depth and crystal clear images with lack of lag. Would highly recommend!

The box is larger than expected but that seems to be to add extra protection to the contents inside. Comes with the removable drive, a replacement cover (in standard white) and two tiny stands to use for sitting your console horizontal. Easy to install since you just remove the one plate and snap it in.

I always wait for to buy products like this till they work out all the issues. Finally decided to buy this specific PS5 just for the fact that the PS5 pro is basically the same. The PS5 pro is digital only and you have to buy the disc drive separately. Other issues with digital is just because you buy the game doesn’t mean you own the game. Blockbuster, and Redbox, ex should be prime examples. Once they shut down the servers you don’t own or have access to anything. This PS5 is extremely fast and I absolutely love it.
